Behind the Scenes: Managing the Impact on Our Business

We are a small (but mighty!), family-run business – and have been since 1990.

Built from the ground up with grit, graft and more than a few sleepless nights, we’ve weathered recessions, pandemics and plenty of bumps in the road big enough to knock us flat.

Recently, the cost of living crisis has been hitting hard. Not just for households, but for small businesses like ours are feeling the strain too.

When everything costs more, something has to give.

Everyone’s feeling the pinch. This means tough choices for families to make about where to cut back. Understandably, the little everyday extras, like a snack from a vending machine or a takeaway coffee, are often the first to go.

We’re doing everything we can to absorb the impact – not pass it on.

Vending machines are surprisingly expensive to run. Between restocking, wages, insurance, transportation, maintenance, energy, card fees, supplier price hikes – the list goes on – the hidden costs add up fast.

We’re focused on solutions, not setbacks. That means finding smart, sustainable ways to protect our customers from price increases.

Here’s what we’re doing behind the scenes to absorb the impact:

  • Streamlining operations: We’re making things leaner, smarter and more efficient to cut costs without cutting corners.
  • Working with our suppliers: We’re negotiating better deals and choosing more local, independent suppliers – supporting other small businesses like ours in the process.
  • Investing in sustainability: Our new electric vehicles are helping us reduce fuel costs and carbon emissions, while coffee grounds from our machines are being recycled into logs to heat our warehouse. Eco-friendly and cost-effective.

These steps are helping us keep prices fair, reduce our footprint, and strengthen the business for the long haul, all while delivering the same quality and service you expect from us.

When you can, choose local and small.
